The pass rate for Year 12 this year is 65 percent, 10 percent lower than 2020.
Minister for Education Premila Kumar emphasised that 2021 has been an unprecedented year for all.
“Our students had to endure the difficulties that we perhaps cannot fully comprehend, there has been enormous learning loss. “
Kumar say the drop in the Year 12 pass rate for 2021 does not come as a surprise as it has been a disruptive year.
Two students scored the highest mark with 398 out of 400, both these students are from Jai Narayan College.
From the top five students, three of them are from Jai Narayan College, one from Natabua High School and one from Xavier College.
All 5 are science students.
12,195 students sat for the Year 12 examination.
