In Fiji:
Youngstars United FC has secured a place in next month’s Dayals Sawmillers National Regional Club Championship after an impressive debut season.
The Navua-based club, formed and managed by Ronald Raichand this year, won the Navua Football Association Regional Club Competition.
Youngstars United completed a perfect campaign, winning all its matches to finish with 30 points and a +51 goal difference.
Raichand said qualifying for the national championship in the club’s first season was a proud achievement for the team.
Usaia Tilivarua was among the standout players, scoring 22 goals to claim the Golden Boot Award.
Youngstars United will now represent Navua at the national championship, where it will face the country’s leading regional clubs next month.
