Netball Fiji is pleased to officially announce the inaugural Fiji Netball Men’s Championship.
8 teams will compete in the 2-day tournament on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st May at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
Netball Fiji CEO, Vivian Koster said, ‘Men’s netball is exciting. It is played with skill, passion, energy, and elevation. It is why men’s netball teams are the preferred training partners for the national team, the Fiji Pearls.’
‘This Championship is one way to recognize the contribution of men’s netball to the overall netball family.
Netball is already known for encouraging women and girls in sport but inclusivity is multi-directional.
Through this tournament, Netball Fiji acknowledges men and boys that compete, coaches, managers, and those who are technical officials. Netball Fiji encourages more men and boys to take up netball, Koster added.
The competition runs from 3:30pm-9:00pm on Friday 20th and 10am-4:00pm on Saturday 21st. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children (12 and under).
Netball Fiji thanks its partners Punjas and Digicel for their continued support.
