Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro has advised parents, guardians, and teachers that the Fiji Year Eight Examination provisional result will be released today.
A total of 19,084 students sat for the examination. The Ministry of Education has recorded a 67per cent pass rate for 2023 FY8E compared to 62 percent in 2022.
The Minister congratulates all those who have achieved their targets and wished to encourage all students to continue to strive towards academic excellence.
These are provisional results that give students ample time to apply for re-count and re- remark process for the next 30 days.
The process to apply for recount will be at a cost of $5 and remarking at $25.00 per subject.
Exam results can be accessed through www.examresults.gov.fj , with the respective student’s unique examination identification number and personal credentials.
Students who may find difficulties in accessing online results can visit their respective schools or District Education Office from tomorrow at 8 a.m.
The Minister for Education advises the public that all Year 8 students qualify for a place in Year 9 irrespective of their Year 8 results.
The parents, guardians, and teachers are urged to provide the necessary support to students in making decisions on their future pursuits.
