Senior officers of the disciplined forces paid a call on the Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama on the occasion of his 68th birthday despite the downpour this morning.
Led by the RFMF Commander, Brigadier-General Jone Kalouniwai, and Police Commissioner, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho, Navy Commander Commodore Humphrey Tawake and the Commissioner of Corrections Francis Kean, the men and women in uniform brought excitement to the Prime Minister’s residence as they sang ‘Happy Birthday’ followed by a toast and loud cheer before first light.
Prime Minister Bainimarama, in addressing the officers, sincerely thanked them for the kind thought and gesture. He also acknowledged their prayers and enduring support over the years.
The Prime Minister, at the same time, urged the officers to continue to uphold the rule of law and serve with diligence.
Happy birthday Prime Minister Bainimarama and God bless!
