More tourism operators have registered their interests to be part of the South Pacific Tourism Expo this year compared to last year.
Chief Executive Officer South Pacific Tourism Organisation Christopher Cocker says a total of 78 buyers and 77 sellers have already registered their interest to be part of the two day event.
“We have very good feedback from last year after having it in Fiji, it was a lot easier access for most of our member country, and even for our key partners in Australia and New Zealand”, Cocker said.
“Last year we had about 60 plus buyers and 70 plus sellers, and each year we aim at getting around 80 buyers and sellers. This year, we’ve registered around 78 buyers and 77 sellers, so we’re getting to our goal”, he added.
He says, registrations were received as far as Europe, North America and Asia.
“There’s a growing number of Chinese tourism outbound operators, and I think the only one we don’t have is the continent of South America”, he said.
The SPTE 2025 will be held from the 9th to the 10th of May at the Crowne Plaza in Nadi.
