In Fiji:
Lautoka football team has won the Rooster Chicken / Scoop Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament.
The sugar city side beat Nadi 2- nil in the final at the HFC Bank stadium in Suva this afternoon.
It was an all Western final on southern soil in this year’s BOG.
Both team’s played to a nil-all draw in the first half.
Lautoka came strongly in the second half and scored the opening goal via a penalty.
Saula Waqa stepped up and scored the first goal before Sairusi Nalaubu grabbed the second and send the Lautoka fans into frenzy.
This is Lautoka’s second major football tournament win this year, having won the Fiji Fact earlier in the year.
