The NRL has announced the 2024 Pacific Championships draw, which will occur across four countries over four weekends in October and November.

For the first time, the tournament will feature promotion and relegation, where the winners of the Men’s and Women’s Pacific Bowls will compete against the third-placed Pacific Cup teams for spots in the 2025 Pacific Cup pools.

Fiji will host matches for the first time, joining Port Moresby, Brisbane, Christchurch, Auckland and Sydney as venues.

The 2024 Championships will include a Men’s division with Australia, New Zealand and Tonga in the Cup, and Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Cook Islands in the Bowl.

The Women’s tournament expands to include the Cup and Bowl divisions, with the Bowl serving as a qualifier for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup. Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium will open the event on October 18 with a double-header, followed by matches in Fiji, Port Moresby, Christchurch, Auckland and Sydney, culminating in the finals at Sydney’s CommBank Stadium on November 10.

Queensland Minister for Tourism and Sport Michael Healy highlighted Brisbane’s role in hosting the opening round and its expected economic impact.

The event is supported by the NSW Government’s Destination NSW and the Australian Government through PacificAus Sports.

Tickets are available starting at $25 for adults and $50 for families, with NRL Club Members having early access.
