Tasweed Zunar Ali, inspired by his father’s work on their family dairy farm, pursued his dream of becoming a dairy farmer despite societal pressures.
After his father’s passing in 2021, he took charge of the farm, expanding the herd from 20 to 60 cows and producing an average of 230 liters of milk daily for Fiji Dairy Limited.
Facing challenges like dog attacks and weather issues, Tasweed has received support from the Agriculture Ministry and the Dairy Extension Programme improving pasture management and feeding techniques.
He encourages aspiring farmers to embrace their passion for farming, prioritise hygiene and animal welfare and find fulfilment in their work.
