Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is calling on all Fijians to act in accordance with the spirit of Diwali and show kindness to those people going through difficulties during this time.
Rabuka highlighted this in his Diwali message.
As thousands of Hindus celebrate Diwali today, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says Diwali is a very important and meaningful holiday where we celebrate the victory of good over evil and light over darkness.
Rabuka also called on people to refrain from using bad language on social media this Diwali.
He says the good spirit of Diwali also shows in how people from all walks of life have come out in colors to commemorate this day.
Diwali marks the return of Lord Rama from 14 years of exile, which signifies the triumph of good over evil.
