Reinstatement works are now underway on the sinkhole that recently appeared along Queens Road near Semo Village.
The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) confirmed that the repairs are part of an emergency response aimed at restoring the affected section of road and ensuring public safety.
The sinkhole, which posed a risk to motorists and disrupted traffic flow, is being addressed as a priority. Traffic management measures have been implemented on-site to guide vehicles safely through the area while repairs are ongoing.
Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution when traveling through the zone and thanked commuters for their patience and cooperation.
The FRA assures the public that efforts are being made to complete the restoration as quickly and safely as possible.
