Ratu Aporosa Davelevu, who is charged in relation to the massive drug case in Legalega, Nadi, told the court that he drove a truck from Denarau to Motorex, but had no idea it contained the methamphetamine consignment.
Ratu Aporosa added that on December 29th, 2023, Ho had asked him if he knew how to drive a manual vehicle so he could drive the truck to Motorex.
He said that on this day, he had gone with his cousin to get a haircut at Ho’s barber shop in Denarau.
Ratu Aporosa said he agreed to drive the truck and Ho gave him the keys, and he followed Louie Logaivau, another accused person, as he did not know where Motorex was.
He said he was paid $200 for this.
When he asked Ho what was inside the truck, Ratu Aporosa said Ho told him it was some furniture.
When it was put ti him that he knew that meth was inside the truck and he knew where he was taking the drug too, Ratu Aporosa disagreed.
He also revealed that he had been deported from Australia in 2017 due to some driving-related charges.
The case continues tomorrow.
