Three police officers appeared in the Navua Magistrates Court yesterday in connection with the alleged assault of a 32-year-old man outside a shopping complex earlier this year.
The incident, which occurred in February, had already seen one officer charged in March. With the latest court appearance, a total of four officers now face one count each of assault causing grievous harm.
All accused were granted non-cash bail of $1,000, with two sureties each.
Bail conditions include non-interference with witnesses, no change of residential address, no reoffending, and mandatory court attendance.
Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has ordered the immediate interdiction of the three officers pending the outcome of the case.
