The Kaiviti Silktails Rugby League Football Club players will now receive financial literacy training through their new partnership with Westpac Fiji.
Westpac Fiji has been named the Official Banking Partner of the Kaiviti Silktails, and the Westpac branding will now appear on the team’s Jersey Collars.
The partnership reinforces a shared commitment to youth development, community engagement, and supporting the growth of rugby league across Fiji and the Pacific.
Chairman of the Kaiviti Silktails Rugby League Football Club, Petero Civoniceva, said the partnership represents a major investment in both rugby league and the future of Fiji’s youth.
“This partnership with Westpac Fiji is about much more than rugby league. Together we are creating opportunities for young people, promoting important life skills, and building stronger community connections through sport,” said Civoniceva.
Westpac Fiji, Chief Executive, Shane Smith, said, “We’re pleased to extend our support for the Fijian community through this partnership with the Kaiviti Silktails. Sport plays a vital role in Fiji, bringing people together and creating opportunities for young people. We really admire what the Silktails are doing on and off the field, investing in communities as well as developing players, and we’re proud to be part of their next chapter.”
The partnership includes support for the Catch Pass Program community youth initiative across schools in Fiji, monthly Westpac Values Club man Award sponsorship and community engagement initiatives involving players and ambassadors.
