The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has announced the temporary nightly closure of Wainibau Bridge along Baulevu Road to allow essential bridge upgrade works.
The bridge will be closed daily from 8pm to 5am, starting on 1 August and continuing until 15 August, subject to favourable weather conditions.
Despite the closure, emergency vehicles will continue to have access throughout the construction period.
The FRA says temporary traffic diversions will be in place to safely guide motorists and pedestrians through the work area.
Advance warning signs will also be installed, while traffic controllers will be stationed on site to assist road users and direct them to the designated bypass route.
Motorists travelling through the area are advised to plan their trips accordingly during the two-week construction period.
