The Internal Affairs Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the alleged conduct of a Sigatoka-based police officer following allegations of threats made against a female student.
Police are urging anyone who may know the victim or have information that could assist the investigation to call the toll-free line on 1681, Crimestoppers on 919, or report to their nearest police station.
The Fiji Police Force says the next course of action will be determined once the preliminary investigation is completed.
Police are also encouraging members of the public to use the 1681 toll-free number to report crimes, suspicious activity, complaints about service delivery, or the conduct of police officers.
