The Fijian Government through the Employment Ministry Permanent Secretary, Osea Cawaru, sincerely thanked the returning employers for more employment opportunities for our Fijians under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme.

During the farewell of 59 selected workers last Friday (23/09/22), Mr Cawaru highlighted that the return of these employers signifies that our Fijian workers have produced the desired outcome and met the expectations of these employers.

“This is a good indicator, hence I wish to convey the Fijian government’s appreciation to all selected workers that have participated and are currently being deployed under the scheme for more openings to other potential Fijian workers.”

“Of the thousands of applications received by the Ministry for this opportunity, consider yourself fortunate for being selected under the scheme.”

“Don’t tarnish the reputation of the Fijian flag, your community and most importantly, your family,” reminded PS Cawaru.

“Raise the bar to another level and continue to perform your best in the same way those have done before you,” urged PS Employment.

“You are the key to more returning employers; therefore your government depends on you for the continuity of this program.”

PS Cawaru added that of the 59 selected workers, 12 Fijian seasonal workers would be recruited for the first time with a new employer, Prasad Management Ltd under the Seasonal Worker Program.

The group also expressed their sincere gratitude to the Fijian Government for this initiative and opportunity to improve living standards.

These workers will be deployed with NVC Group Aged-Care, HealthX, Prasad Management Ltd, MADEC and Seeka Australia respectively.
