Adi Moapa Secondary School confident of bagging Gold medals at Coca-Cola Games

Adi Maopa Secondary School from Vanuabalavu in Lau is confident that they will be winning Gold medals at the upcoming Coca Cola Games this weekend.

The team of 15 athletes created history after winning the Coca Cola Maritime Zone for the first time earlier this week, beating 6 other schools.

For many of the students, this is their first trip to the capital, Suva.

Students of Adi Maopa Secondary School in Vanuabalavu island, Lau travelled for over 12 hours to be part of this years Fiji Finals.

Head of School, Livia Laliqavoka shares, the trip was even more rewarding as the team were crowned winners of the Maritime Zone on Monday.

For many of the students, this is their first trip to the capital city.

The team visited the Fiji Television headquaters this morning, and performed a live recording for their school anthem.

She says, it was the effort, that made them win, through tough training sessions on grass fields and sandy beaches.

The Adi Maopa athletes are confident that they will win Gold medals at the Fiji Finals.

With support from their teachers, fellow students, old scholars, and the Vanuabalavu Vision, the team is determined to make their mark at the Coca Cola Games.
