The Ministry of Agriculture and Waterways has officially opened entries for the 2025 National Agriculture Show Farmers Awards, calling on farmers across Fiji to showcase their hard work, innovation, and commitment to sustainable farming.
This year’s awards, part of the highly anticipated National Agriculture Show, will recognize excellence in various categories including Flower Arrangement, Commodity Awards, and Special Awards. The initiative is aimed at honoring farmers who have demonstrated consistent improvement in their agricultural practices over a period of at least two years.
However, past winners from the last five years will not be eligible to apply.
Farmers interested in applying are required to complete the official entry form and provide supporting documentation to strengthen their submissions. Applicants must also hold a valid form of identification such as a Joint FRCS/FNPF ID, Voter ID, or Driver’s License.
The Ministry has set 16 July 2025 as the deadline for all entries.
To be considered for the awards, farmers must have been actively operating in either crop or livestock farming – or any form of agri-business; for a minimum of two years. Proof of record keeping (covering both production and sales) is also mandatory.
