The Assistant Minister for Health and Medical Services, Hon. Penioni Ravunawa, visited the Ministry’s Command Centres in Nadi and Sigatoka today, following the recent declaration of a Dengue Outbreak in the Western Division.
The visit aimed to provide Hon. Ravunawa with a firsthand look at the operational response to the outbreak. He engaged with frontline teams to understand current challenges and explore ways to enhance the Command Centres’ efficiency in managing the public health crisis.
“These centres are the nerve of our dengue response efforts. Seeing the operations firsthand allows us to identify areas where we can strengthen support, improve resources, and ensure quick, effective responses to protect our communities,” said Hon. Ravunawa.
The Ministry of Health has pledged to continue monitoring the situation closely while enhancing its strategies to combat the spread of dengue fever in affected areas.
