In Fiji:
Cabinet has approved a grant-funding support, pledged by the Australian Government to the tune of 58 million AUD, as general budget support for fiscal year 2023 and 2024.
In a statement, Cabinet says that the overall goal of the grant provided by the Australian Government is to provide financial support to the Fiji Government, in achieving economic and fiscal reforms, as agreed to by the development partners.
They say the key reform areas include contributing to more effective and accountable ‘Public Financial Management’, and contributing to economic reforms for enhanced recovery and resilience.
