The Divisional Planning Officer Western, Jone Bacau, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the psychological first aid training organised by Empower Pacific.
He highlighted the importance of such training for government officers who often provide assistance during crises.
Mr Bacau stressed the significance of psychological first aid in offering immediate support to individuals in distress and promoting community well-being.
Throughout the three-day training, participants will cover various topics including trauma reactions, communication techniques and self-care strategies.
Mr Bacau encouraged active participation to strengthen skills in providing psychological first aid, acknowledging Empower Pacific’s initiative and the dedication of course coordinators.
Mr Bacau concluded with a call for unity in making a positive impact on community well-being.
He urged attendees to utilise the training to better support their communities.
