Digicel Fiji National team Head coach Rob Sherman has unveiled the FIFA March 2024 Window International Friendlies Series lineup against the Solomon Islands.
The squad boasts five overseas-based players, led by captain Roy Krishna, poised to amplify Fiji’s attacking capabilities.
Noteworthy additions from New Zealand include goalkeeper Ayidin Mustahib, defender Mohammed Muzakir Nabeel, and midfielder Nabil Begg, enriching Fiji’s roster.
UK-based defender Scot Wara further fortifies the defensive line, augmenting the team’s resilience.
The team’s defensive lineup includes Ivan Kumar, Epeli Leiroti, Antonio Tuivuna, Filipe Baravilala, Sterling Vonconcellos, Wara, and Nabeel, while the midfield is anchored by a talented group of 11 players including Ba’s Mohammed Fataul Raheem, Suva’s Dave Radrigai and Merril Nand, Lautoka’s Sitiveni Cavuilagi and Muni Shivam, Navua’s Thomas Dunn, Rewa’s Setareki Hughes and Ratu Tevita Warainivalu, Ba’s Etonio Dogalau, Sailasa Ratu and Begg.
Upfront, Krishna and Sairusi Nalaubu lead the attack, supported by Isikeli Sevanaia, Atunaisa Naucakidi, and Mustahib guarding the goalmouth.
The team departs for Honiara on March 14, with the first leg scheduled for March 18 at 4pm at the National Stadium, followed by the final leg on March 21 at 1pm.
