The Alpha and Omega Christian Centre at Naikaele Village in Tailevu has received close to $10,000 in government assistance for renovation works.

The Ministry of Multi-Ethnic Affairs, Culture, Heritage and Arts provided $9,852.90 through its Multi-Ethnic Grant Programme during the 2025–2026 financial year.

The funding was used to replace the church’s old and damaged roofing and rafters, which had caused several leakages over the years.

Commissioning the newly renovated church, Minister Charan Jeath Singh said the improvements will provide a safer and more secure place of worship for the congregation and the wider community.

He says the church is more than just a place of worship, as it also brings people from different backgrounds together through fellowship and community activities.

Around 32 households currently benefit from the facility.

Minister Singh says the renovated church will continue to serve as a place of faith, spiritual development and community connection.
