The Divisional Police Commander East (DPC/E) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Joape Cakacaka held his operational readiness check parade this morning in anticipation of the looming festive and hurricane seasons

The recently appointed DPC East held his first parade since his appointment in Nausori, attended by officers serving within the Eastern Division.

In his address SSP Cakacaka said, “As we gather here this morning, we stand on the cusp of the festive season, a time that brings joy and celebration to our communities. However, it also presents unique challenges that require our unwavering commitment to duty and excellence.”

“I want to remind each of you of the high standard of discipline that defines our profession. As guardians of peace and safety, it is imperative that we uphold the values of integrity, respect, humility and professionalism in all that we do. The eyes of the community are upon us and our actions reflect not only on ourselves, but on the entire Fiji Police Force.”

The Eastern Division’s area of operation covers Nakasi, Nausori, Naitasiri, Tailevu, Rewa and the Lomaiviti group.

Checks were conducted on both land and maritime resources.

“Remember, the safety of our citizens depends on our readiness and responsiveness. Let’s maintain our focus and dedication to duty and maintain a high standard of service delivery.
