Eighth IPCI commences in Norway, Tabuya and Immanuel part of Fiji delegation

Over two hundred  Parliamentarians from across the world are convening in Oslo, Norway, for the eighth International Parliamentarians Conference on the Implementation of the International Conference on Population Development Programme of Action. 

The conference commenced today and serves as a platform for adopting global political consensus on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, with the aim of translating these discussions into tangible national outcomes in policy, funding and accountability.

Fiji, a nation deeply committed to advancing sexual reproductive health and rights, is prominently represented at this conference. 

The delegation from Fiji includes the Assistant Finance Minister, Esrom Immanuel and the Women, Children and Social Protection Minister, Lynda Tabuya. Their participation was made possible through the funding support of the United Nations Fund for Population Activites.

Throughout the conference, attendees will engage in discussions, share best practices and forge partnerships to drive meaningful progress in sexual reproductive health and rights on both national and global scales.
