Fiji Airways has cancelled all flights to and from Funafuti, Tuvalu, amidst concerns over runway conditions.
In a statement this morning, the national carrier issued an advisory saying “flights FJ281 and FJ280 between Suva and Funafuti in Tuvalu scheduled for today (14.12.23) will no longer operate due to runway conditions at the Funafuti International Airport.”
Fiji Airways said necessary repairs are underway and they are awaiting advice from authorities in Funafuti as to when operations could resume.
“We look forward to operating these flights at the earliest possible, and apologise for any inconvenience caused,” the airline said.
