Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, met with India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, to discuss ways to further strengthen diplomatic and economic cooperation between the two nations.

The bilateral meeting centred on deepening Fiji–India ties through enhanced development partnerships and identifying mutual opportunities for sustainable growth.

The two leaders also acknowledged the long-standing friendship between Fiji and India, reaffirming their commitment to collaborative efforts in areas such as education, health, climate resilience, and digital transformation.

Discussions highlighted India’s ongoing support for Fiji’s development initiatives.
