Fiji’s Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has reaffirmed the Fiji Police Force’s commitment to supporting the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG), particularly in strengthening regional security collaboration.
Commissioner Tudravu made the assurance during a courtesy call to the Acting Director General of the MSG Secretariat, Ilan Kiloe, in Port Vila.
ADG Kiloe acknowledged Fiji’s leading role in regional policing efforts, including the development of the MSG Security Strategy and the ongoing secondment of a Fijian Police Liaison Officer to the Secretariat.
He also confirmed that the MSG Police Commissioners Conference (PCC) and Police Ministers Meeting (PMM) will be hosted later this year, with Fiji set to assume chairmanship from Vanuatu next month.
Commissioner Tudravu welcomed the MSG’s continued engagement and emphasized the importance of deepening police cooperation across the region.
