The Fijian Government has approved a review of the Poverty Alleviation Eradication Strategy Framework (FPAESF) 1999 to enhance its effectiveness in addressing poverty-related challenges.
The original framework, developed through collaboration between state and non-state actors, aimed to tackle the root causes and driving forces of poverty in Fiji. The review seeks to strengthen coordination, oversight, and technical support for poverty alleviation programs nationwide.
Officials say the updated strategy will reflect current socio-economic realities and improve the implementation of targeted poverty reduction initiatives.
