An exciting first round of the Punjas Pacific Battle as the Fiji Water Flying Fijian secured their first win against a gallant Ikale Tahi Tongan side 36-20 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
An exciting first half where the Flying Fijians led their Pacific brothers 26-15.
Fiji scored three tries and a penalty try with two successful conversions while Tonga scored two kicked a conversion and a penalty to trail by 11 points in the break.
In the second spell, both teams scored a try each, however Fiji dominated by the end of the final whistle.
The Flying Fijians’ next game will be against Samoa in Apia next week and you can catch that battle live on Fiji One.
