
The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua today visited and engaged in a Get Into Rugby (GIR) PLUS school clinic with students of Namaka Public School.
The program which embeds life skills learning with rugby union to promote positive behaviours, support gender equality, and prevent violence against women, girls and boys.
There were 125 students from year 7 and 8 at Namaka Public School that participated in today’s clinic which featured three players from the Fijian Drua; Zuriel Togiatama, Peni Matawalu and Selestino Ravutaumada.
The Australian Government is proud to support both the Fijian Drua and Fijiana Drua in super rugby through PacificAus Sports, and flagship sport for development program, Get into Rugby PLUS.
Get into Rugby PLUS is jointly developed and implemented through a regional partnership between Oceania Rugby, Fiji Rugby Union, UN Women, ChildFund Rugby, Rugby Australia and the Australian Government’s Team Up.
