The Vodafone Fijiana bounced back from their opening defeat to beat Sakura 15s in the second test match at Churchill Park in Lautoka last night.
Mosese Rauluni coached side beat Japan women’s team for their first time on their home soil by 25 points to 15.
This is a historical win for Fijiana women’s, who are ranked below Japan.
Fijiana’s tries came from Repeka Tove, Merewairita Neivosa and Unaisi Lalabalavu while Japan managed to score twice in the match.
Fijiana will now prepare to face the wallaroo’s next month in Australia.
