Owners of vehicles that use unleaded fuel will pay 3 cents more per litre from midnight tonight, after the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission announced new fuel prices for the month of May.
Motor spirits increase from $3 to $3.03 per litre and premix goes up from $2.84 to $2.85 per litre.
Kerosene prices go down from $2.05 to $2.03 per litre and diesel also declines from $2.69 to $2.62 per litre.
Autogas powered vehicle owners will also pay more at $2.29 per litre, up from $2.28 per litre – an increase of 1 cent.
A 4.5kg cylinder of cooking gas will cost $15.87 from midnight tonight – up 6 cents from $15.81 and a 12kg cylinder will cost $42.33 – up 17 cents from $42.16.
