The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has determined the new regulated
price for Unleaded Petrol (Motor Spirit), Premix, Kerosene, Diesel and LPG products for August.

Fuel prices will increase while the price for LPG products will decrease from tomorrow.

Motor Spirit will cost $2.79 per litre ,an increase of 18 cents.

Premix will increase by 14 cents to $2.64 per litre, while the price of diesel will increase by 15 cents to cost $2.37.

The VAT-exempt price of Kerosene will be $1.80 per litre.

The fuel price review in Fiji follows a one-month lag period.

Therefore, the local fuel prices for August are based on imports made by fuel companies in June.

The FCCC used the July Saudi Aramco Butane Contract Price (CP) and June 2023 international freight rates
and foreign exchange rate to determine the local LPG product prices for August

The price of a 12kg cylinder will cost $32.62, while a 4.5kg cylinder will decrease by 73 cents and cost $12.23.

Bulk gas will decrease by 15 cents and cost $2.52, while autogas will cost $1.76.

FCCC says the cylinder prices are VAT-exempt.

As part of the FCCC’s enforcement and compliance of fuel prices, Enforcement Team will
conduct inspections at wholesale / retail outlets and service stations to ensure prices of authorised
petroleum and LPG products comply with the allowable maximum prices.
