Gavoka stresses importance of sustainable tourism and cultural preservation

Acting Prime Minister, Villiame Gavoka highlighted Fiji’s commitment to sustainable tourism growth and cultural preservation at the Fijian Tourism Exchange 2024 in Denarau Nadi. 

“As we navigate the complexities of modern tourism, it is imperative that we preserve our pristine natural environments and unique cultural traditions for generations to come, and I’m sure you’ve seen how Fiji embraces this principle,” said Gavoka.

The Acting Prime Minister also stated that Fijian Tourism Exchange is a platform for meaningful partnerships and he urged participants to actively engage in dialogues that will shape a brighter and more resilient future for Fiji’s tourism sector.

He stressed the importance of international collaboration, excellence in hospitality and adopting meaningful partnerships for a brighter tourism future.

The Fijian Tourism Exchange 2024 will showcase Fiji’s rich cultural heritage. 

The event will conclude tomorrow, 7 May.
