The Health & Medical Services Ministry marked another milestone on Friday, 14 June as it launched the Strengthening of Digital Healthcare for Community NCDs and long COVID-19 Project.
The project is jointly funded by the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund and USAID as both organisations contributed USD 720,000.
Ministry’s Head of Wellness Department, Dr Devina Nand in acknowledging the support from the two countries said the project will greatly assist the Ministry in NCD surveillance, data storage capacity and maintaining patient tracking capability.
“This project – the first of its kind, will greatly assist the Ministry in obtaining real-time data when engaging healthcare workers and community health workers at the community level,” said Nand.
She added that this means the Ministry will be able to work more effectively and efficiently, with evidenced based interventions generated from communities for communities.
The event was held at the Ministry of Health Conference Room in Toorak.
