The Fiji Meteorological Services has issued a Heavy Rain warning for the Central and Eastern Divisions, Southern Bua and Cakaudrove Provinces and Yasawa due to a slow-moving trough of low pressure, expected to ease by Thursday.
The National Disaster Risk Management Office is monitoring flood risks and urges the public to avoid flooded areas and exercise caution on the roads.
Flash flooding may occur and there is an increased risk of waterborne diseases like Leptospirosis and Typhoid.
The public is advised to stay informed through FMS and NDRMO updates.
