John Rabuku has been appointed as the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions effective 14 August.
Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva, in appointing Mr Rabuku said due process was followed for the appointment with an independent panel designated to select the best candidate for the job.
The late Mr David Toganivalu held the position for the Deputy DPP in 2010. Since then, this position was vacant.
Ms Nancy said, “Mr Rabuku needs no introduction. He comes with a vast knowledge and skills and has familiarity with the office therefore having him as the Deputy DPP can only add strength and capacity to what we already have as an office.”
