In Fiji:
Deputy Prime Minister and Trade, Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Communications Minister, Manoa Kamikamica led meetings in Jordan with co-operative development partners to strengthen Fiji’s strategic partnerships.
Kamikamica also met with Michael Pilbrow, Strategic Advisor to the Business Council of Cooperatives and Mutuals from Australia to discuss plans to strengthen co-operative development.
Co-operatives are central to Fiji’s economic diversification and poverty alleviation efforts.
The Co-operative Ministerial Conference in Jordan concluded with a draft resolution to be adopted in July 2024, to further co-operative development in the Asia Pacific region.
