The Permanent Secretary for Education Selina Kuruleca has called on parents to ensure they know where and who their children are spending time with, what they are doing, and help them make good decisions.

Kuruleca highlighted this as the first Term of school concluded this week.

She says children must be supervised at all times.

Kuruleca says students should take this time to revise, rest, and reset.

She called on students to have a program for each day during the two-week holiday.

The Permanent Secretary also emphasized the importance of reading for 30 minutes each day, where children can visit local libraries, read, summarise what they read, and ask a teacher to review it when they return to school in Term 2.

Kuruleca also wished all the students a joyful and rejuvenating 2 weeks holiday break.
