Fiji Airways Fijian Men’s 7s team has won their opening match in the Vancouver 7s tournament.
Ponipate Loganimasi scored a hat-trick as Fiji beat Spain 31-12 to make a good start in the tournament.Loganimasi scored the opening try in the second minute of the play.
Halfback Pilipo Bukayaro then got his name on the scoresheet before Loganimasi got his second before the half time break.
Loganimasi scored his third try in the second half while Terio Tamani scored the fifth and final try for the Fiji 7s team.
Fiji next face Canada and their final pool match will be against Argentina tomorrow.
