The Ministry of Immigration is in the process of deporting Seven Grace Road personnel after the Government of Korea communicated through diplomatic channels on the of 21st September 2018 that they have nullified the passports of the 7 individuals concerned.
In a press conference this morning Minister Pio Tikoduadua confirmed one person has returned voluntarily, two have been deported, two were taken off a Fiji Airways flight in Nadi due to a High Court order and were taken to the Grace Road base in Navua while two are on the run.
The individuals whose passports were nullified by the Korean Government in relation to charges laid by the South Korean Government who issued a warrant for their arrest are Grace Road Senior Director Daniel Kim, Acting Grace Road President Sung Jin Lee, Nam Suk Choi, Byeong Joon Lee, Jin Sook Yoon, Beomseop Shin and Chul Na.
The Minister confirmed Grace Road senior director Daniel Jung Yong Kim and Jin Sook Yoon are on the run.
Tikoduadua confirmed a taskforce consisting of the Fiji Police Force and Immigration Officers began the removal of these individuals yesterday.
Tikoduadua stresses that they will take the law as the first course of action. The Minister also reminds the public that it is an offence to harbor wanted suspects.
