The Public Service Commission has announced the appointment of Mr. Navin Raj Shayam as the new Permanent Secretary for Education, following agreement by the Prime Minister.
Public Service Commission Chairman Luke Rokovada confirmed the appointment, highlighting Mr. Shayam’s deep-rooted experience in education and leadership. Mr. Shayam previously served as Principal and Head of School at Jai Narayan College for a decade and has held various roles in both the public and private sectors.
He also brings governance experience from his service on boards such as the Fiji National University Council, Fijian Holdings Trustees Ltd, Fijian Holdings Fund Management Ltd, and Fiji Television Ltd.
