Netball Fiji hosts Coaching Workshop

Netball Australia, through the support of the ‘PacificAus Sports program’ is currently hosting a three-day coaching workshop.

The workshop involves Netball Fiji’s top national coaches, the majority of whom are National Academy program coaches.

One of the key areas that Netball Australia will focus on during the 3 day workshop is building our local coaches confidence in leading their respective teams.

Netball Australia through the support of the PacificAus Sports program is hosting a 3 day workshop to help develop local coaches.

Netball Australia First Nation Engagement Lead Ali Tucker Munro says the workshop is aimed at connecting Netball Fiji’s coaches and identifying how cultural identity informs self, and
coaching practices.

Ali Munroe is assisted by Head of Performance Wellbeing – Matt Mulcahy and supported by 4 highly credentialed Australian netball coaches.

The coaches from State & National Pathway level bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the workshop.

Ali says the central theme of the workshop revolves around the concept of “Our Way – Our Style” within the local context.

Local coaches will learn more on managing cultural and community obligations and expectations with coaching obligations and requirements.

The workshop is part of the Australian Governments and Netball Australia’s commitment to supporting development and opportunities for athletes and coaches in the region, highlighting a strong history and connection between Australia & the Pacific.
