A groundbreaking partnership between the Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) and Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH Hospitals) is set to bring world-class medical services to a broader population across Fiji.
This strategic alliance aims to enhance healthcare accessibility, particularly for the iTaukei community, through the use of cutting-edge technology and highly trained specialists.
On Thursday afternoon, GCC chairman Ratu Viliame Seruvakula visited PSH Hospitals in Nadi, located just across from the Nadi International Airport.
He was deeply impressed by the state-of-the-art facility and its potential to attract international visitors, including dignitaries and heads of state, by providing internationally recognized medical services.

Ratu Seruvakula highlighted that this partnership would not only benefit Fijians but also encourage international events and VIP visits, generating numerous positive outcomes for the country.
He emphasized the importance of early detection and health awareness, particularly among the iTaukei community, and how PSH’s telemedicine capabilities could bridge the gap to remote areas.
PSH Hospitals founder and CEO Parvish Kumar expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that it would allow the hospital to offer affordable, high-quality care to Fijians nationwide.
He noted that the involvement of GCC representatives on the hospital’s board would ensure the iTaukei community’s needs are effectively addressed in decision-making processes.
Furthermore, Kumar mentioned that PSH Hospitals is also working with neighboring countries to ensure their citizens benefit from the facility’s services.
This new partnership promises a wealth of opportunities for better healthcare across the Pacific, with more developments expected soon.
