A traditional welcome ceremony was accorded to 23 Pacific Island member countries attending the first Joint Heads of Pacific Security (JHoPS) meeting in Nadi yesterday evening (7/11/22).
The meeting is being attended by 68 heads of security forces that will discuss climate change security and maritime security issues.
The meeting which will begin today will be officially opened by the Minister for Defence, National Security and Policing, Inia Seruiratu and attended by Australian Defence Force, Chief of Defence, General Angus Campbell, New Zealand Defence Force, Chief of Defence, Air Marshal Kevin Short along with other security heads of other nations.
