In Fiji:
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama this morning commissioned the New Hyperbaric or Decompression Chamber at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.
With Fiji recording 20 to 30 cases of Decompression Sickness (DCS) annually, Government purchased a brand-new, state-of-the-art hyperbaric chamber worth $600,000 that was commissioned this morning.
Medical staff have been trained to handle the hyperbaric chamber and they have begun operating in May this year since the machine became operational to ensure proper safety is guaranteed.
