His Excellency, the President, Major-General Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, received the letters of credentials from His Excellency, Mohammed Reza Mofatteh, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to New Zealand with cross accreditation to Fiji at the State House yesterday (21/07/22).

His Excellency, Mofatteh presented his credentials after inspecting a 20-member guard of honor by the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF).

His extensive tertiary qualifications include a Ph.D. in Political Geography from the Islamic Azad University – Science and Research Branch.

His Excellency, Mofatteh also served as the First Counselor of the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Mission of Iran to the United Nations – New York in 2021.
