For the first time in 10 years, a Professional boxing program is set to be staged in the Northern division.
The South Pacific Boxing Promotion’s “Rumble in Labasa” will help to revive the sport of boxing, in the Northern division.
Promoter Freddy Chand says the people of Labasa have been deprived of professional boxing, and after much consideration, they decided to take their program to the North.
Chand says a total of 17 bouts will be held, with three titles to be put on the line.
Boxing Commission of Fiji Chairman Adi Narayan is urging the people of Labasa, to come out in numbers to support this program, as a lot of work has been put into taking this program to the North, scheduled for the 10th of August, at Subrail Park.
